Ellen Piangerelli is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Rhode Island Teaching Policy Fellow. Ellen is an Advisor at the Met School in Providence, RI. She began her formal teaching career through Teach for America after years of service in education-affiliated nonprofit and government agencies. Ellen is the creator of 100MileRead, a literacy challenge, campaign, and experiment designed to support students’ identities as readers through the elimination of “required reading.” Ellen earned her BA in Critical Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her MEd from Rhode Island College.
