Enid Hopkins is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Education Senior Policy Fellow and is the early childhood teacher recruiter for the Chicago Public Schools Talent Acquisition Teacher Recruitment Team. She also works with seasoned teachers who are hoping to bring their talents to the CPS. Enid has served in the capacity of teacher and director in the child care sector as well as a preschool and primary teacher in District 299. In addition to her work in centers and schools, she has worked as an early intervention developmental therapist serving children and families in the state of Illinois since 2011. She holds a MEd in Early Childhood Education Leadership and Advocacy from Erikson Institute and joined the Erikson team as adjunct faculty for fall 2020. Her research and passion are around creating equitable early childhood experiences, especially play in grades K-2.
