Erica Marlaine is a 2018-19 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Erica teaches special education preschoolers in an inclusive classroom at Nevada Avenue Elementary School in Canoga Park, California, where she is a member of her school’s English learner advisory committee. Erica is a National Geographic Certified Educator, and has studied climate change in the arctic as an Earthwatch Teaching Fellow. She earned a BA in Literature and Rhetoric from the State University of New York at Binghamton, a JD from Hastings College of the Law, and an MEd with Distinction in Early Childhood Special Education from California State University, Northridge.
