Erika Padilla is a 2021 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and a 3rd grade dual-language teacher at Rio Real School in Oxnard. She serves as grade level leader and as a mentor teacher for new teacher candidates. Erika previously taught 4th grade and 6th grade Spanish Language Arts and Social Studies in Gilroy Unified School District. Erika completed the Unstoppable Outreach Program, which is designed to provide educators with the right tools to help at-risk youth who have experienced trauma. She graduated from California State University, Stanislaus with a BA in Liberal Studies and received her MA in Educational Leadership from California Lutheran University.
