Donna L. Ervin

Dr. Donna L. Ervin is a 22026-2027 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Belonging, Empowerment, and Mentorship Network Facilitator and 1st-grade teacher at Pittsburgh Miller PreK-5 in Pittsburgh, where she teaches reading and math. Previously, Donna was a District Learning Environment Specialist, designing and facilitating equity-centered professional development and supporting culture and climate initiatives across more than 50 schools. She is a Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellowship alumna and current member of the Teach Plus PA regional advisory board. Donna received the Distinguished Teacher Award from Pittsburgh Public Schools, and participated in the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project. She is committed to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching, and elevating educator voice to strengthen systems that better serve students and families. Donna earned a BA in communication from Chatham University, MAT in teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, and PhD in instructional management and leadership from Robert Morris University.
