Faiza Makhani is a Teach Plus Los Angeles Teaching Policy Fellow. Faiza teaches 8th grade U.S. history at Paul Revere Charter Middle School in West Los Angeles, where she is a member of the budget and discipline committees. A National Board Certified teacher, Faiza is part of the LAUSD history fellows that promote and develop lessons based on the Common Core History and Social Science Standards. Through her work with the Writing Project at Cal State Los Angeles, Faiza helps students build writing skills while developing a love and appreciation for writing. A Los Angeles teacher for over 12 years, Faiza earned a BA in economics and history, and her MEd from the University of California, Los Angeles.
