Jacqueline A. Ferguson

Jacqueline A. Ferguson is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and 9th grade educator and district mentor at Discovery Polytech Early College High School in Springfield, Massachusetts. She founded and continues to direct HomeGirls and has provided social-emotional learning consulting services. Jacqueline served as Chief Equity Influencer and Mentor for the Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership and as Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator at John F. Kennedy Middle School, as well as was selected as an Inaugural LiberatED Fellow and member of the Teach for Wellness Leadership Task Force with The Teacher Collaborative. She also co-facilitated Teach for Wellness with The Teacher Collaborative. Jacqueline was named UP Academy Network’s Teacher of the Year: Rookie (2017) and Springfield Public School District’s Teacher of the Year: Excellence in Teaching (2022). She earned her BS in criminal justice from Lincoln University, EdM from Boston University, and is pursuing a doctorate at Boston University.
