Erika Feurtado is a 2025-2026 Philadelphia Affinity Group Network Facilitator and nationally recognized educator, advocate, and mentor who creates transformative spaces where students and educators thrive, building affirming, culturally responsive learning communities and mentoring fellow educators. Erika is focused on affirming teacher identity, building brave and inclusive spaces, and ensuring every educator has the opportunity to lead, grow, and be heard. She has led professional development, contributed to school-wide equity initiatives, and served as a mentor through programs such as Big Brothers Big Sisters. Her advocacy extends to national education policy discussions in Washington, D.C., where she has elevated the importance of educator agency and equitable access for youth in under-resourced communities. Erika is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Pennsylvania.
