Briana Fitzgerald is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Senior Policy Fellow. She is Early Childhood Director at Children’s Ark Creative Learning Center in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. Briana focuses on compliance with state regulations, and creates spaces in childcare facilities, activities, and educational programs that support child development. She began her career in early childhood education in Pittsburgh as a lead preK teacher, becoming director in 2022. Briana was awarded the Terri Lynne Lokoff Teacher Award (2023) and is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) National Honors Teacher Society. She earned her BA in early child development and learning from Carlow University and is continuing her education to obtain an MEd in supervision and leadership.
