Nora Flynn is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and literacy specialist at Percy Julian Middle School in Oak Park, Illinois. She serves as the Multi-Tiered System of Supports co-chair and school lead. Nora started her career as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow and taught middle and high school history and English, as well as teacher preparation at Loyola University Chicago. She received the Illinois Reading Council’s Obama Library Award (2022), was a Teachers Network Leadership Institute Fellow (2003), and earned the James Madison Memorial Fellowship for Illinois (2001). Nora is a National Board Certified Teacher in early and middle childhood literacy. She earned a BA in history and teacher preparation from Yale University, MA in social sciences from the University of Chicago, and MA in reading education from Concordia University Chicago.
