Leah Foster is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow and Head Start teacher in Evanston, Illinois. She is passionate about providing a hands-on and sensory rich approach to teaching. Leah aspires to make every experience accessible to all types of learners and believes behavior is communication. She has worked in the early childhood field for 28 years and has experience in a variety of venues, including the Montessori method, public school, in-home daycare, and Head Start. Leah is attending Northeastern Illinois University to complete her BA in early childhood education with a minor in teaching English as a second language (TESOL). Afterward, she plans to pursue a master’s degree.
