Gabriela Zimmerman is working with her colleagues on a vertical alignment of outcomes and assessments, as well as students’ writing within the Social Sciences Department. Gabriela teaches 11th grade United States history and AP United States history at Nava College Preparatory Academy, where she also serves as the social studies department chair. She previously taught 10th grade world history and 11th grade United States history at The Academy Community Day school, where she won Teacher of the Month and Rookie Teacher of the Year. She graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a BA in History and received her MEd in secondary education from National University. She is currently working on a MA in History at California State University, Fullerton.
