Karen Gaiter is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and 6th grade teacher leader at McKee Elementary School in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, where she teaches English language arts. She began her teaching career in Georgia teaching early elementary grades, relocating in 2017 to Pennsylvania where she has taught upper elementary. She earned a BS in recreation and leisure services from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, master’s degree in organizational leadership from Geneva College, and elementary education certification from Seton Hill University.
