Sarah Galvez is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow who teaches concurrent credit Spanish, AP Spanish, and Spanish 1 and serves as the World Languages Collaborative team leader in high schools across Arkansas through Virtual Arkansas. Sarah began her teaching career in 2007, teaching for the University of Arkansas Community College in Morrilton and Arkansas Tech University, where she also served as the ATU World Languages Lab Coordinator before transitioning full-time to Virtual Arkansas in 2013. She was a Fulbright-Hayes Award recipient in 2008 and served as a Pearson Education Faculty Advisor from 2011-2013. Sarah was awarded the Virtual Arkansas Core Value Award for Relationships in 2024 and Teacher of the Month in 2022 and 2023. She earned her BA in Spanish from Arkansas Tech University and her MA in Spanish from the University of Central Arkansas. She also holds a licensure endorsement in ESOL and licensure certification in Online Teaching.
