Nicole Gamboa is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and an instructional coach and ELPT at Peace and Education Coalition High School in Chicago. She focuses on helping teachers build on their strengths and try new strategies in their classrooms in order to create consistency and support for students. She’s previously led a team of teachers implementing literacy strategies, discourse-focused PLC with science teachers around the district, and numerous PD workshops for teachers focusing on ESL strategies adapted to students’ needs. Nicole began her teaching career as a 2010 Chicago Teaching Fellows corps member. She earned her BA in biology and integrated science and her MSEd in secondary education from Northwestern University. She later earned her ESL/Bilingual Endorsement, LBS1 Endorsement, and Principal Endorsement from National Louis University.
