Jackie Gardner (She/They) is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and a 7th grade science teacher at North Mountain Middle School on the ancestral lands of the Soboba people in San Jacinto, California. She supports science staff at her site in implementing inquiry-based and hands-on learning. Jackie is currently science department chair, and advisor for the student-run Naturalist and GSA clubs. She previously held roles as an NGSS TOSA and district science fair coordinator. In 2018, Jackie joined the Environmental Education Collaborative of the Inland Area, for which she is a current board member. Earning her degrees from California Polytechnic University, Humboldt, she holds a BA in Elementary Education, an MEd in Education with an emphasis in science, and holds a multiple subject and single subject Life Science teaching credential.
