Adrian Gaytan is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus New Mexico Change Agent and a middle school grade teacher at ZIA Middle in Las Cruces. He is a garden lead, PLTW/Tech instructor, CTE team member, and ENLACE facilitator. He focuses on teaching areas of pre-engineering, CAD, computer programming, A/R, community engagement and fostering a bilingual model inside the classroom or outside in the garden. He was the 2022 ZIA teacher of the year and district finalist. Adrian began his teaching career as an educational assistant for both special education and bilingual education at an area high school. He earned a BS in hospitality: restaurant and tourism management and MEd in education K-8 from New Mexico State University.
