Ashley Gervin is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and an instructional coach for Summit and Horizon Schools in La Quinta, California. She supports students in English language development and digital literacy to encourage skill development for learning English, graduating high school, and more. Ashley earned the Award of Excellence from Desert Sands Unified School District (2012-13) and was the President’s Choice Student of the Year Award Recipient for Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology (2006-07). Ashley began her teaching career in 2006 as an elementary school teacher. She earned her BA in World Arts, Cultures & Dance from UCLA, a MEd in Educational Leadership and multiple subject teaching credential from Pepperdine University, a MSEd in special education teaching and learning, and mild moderate special education teaching credential from Chapman University, an EdD in k–12 Educational leadership in urban education and leading instructional change from University of Southern California.
