Richard Glass Jr. is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and Regional Vice President of School Operations in Chicago and St. Louis, Missouri. He leads programs so that students ages 16-22 can earn a high school diploma. Richard has led elementary and high school campuses and specialized in teaching all-male middle school classrooms. He was Illinois Network of Charter Schools Principal of the Year (2015), Chicago Principal Fellow (2016), and Education Entrepreneur Fellow (2017). Richard earned a BA in liberal studies from Chicago State University, MS in nonprofit management from Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies, MA in school leadership from Concordia University Chicago, MSEd in elementary teaching from Northwestern University, and MEd in special education from University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned an EdD in instructional leadership from Argosy University at Phoenix, has completed executive leadership coursework at Northwestern University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and is a New Leaders National Aspiring Principal Fellow.
