Veronica Gomez is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and an instructional coach in Skokie-Morton Grove School District 69 in Skokie, Illinois. She supports pre-k through 8th grade educators and provides resources for diversity, equity and inclusion. In addition, Veronica is a Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity Facilitator providing equity training and experiences for district staff and community-wide participants. Prior to her role as an instructional coach, Veronica taught pre-k for eight years then moved into a kindergarten position in Skokie where she realized her growing interest in working with culturally and linguistically diverse students. Veronica earned an MA in curriculum and instruction with a bilingual endorsement from Concordia University and an MA in educational leadership with a principal endorsement from North Park University. She is currently enrolled in Loyola University Chicago’s EdD program in curriculum, culture, and communities in order to prepare her to make meaningful changes in education-related settings.
