Liljuan Gonzalez is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and is a middle school diverse learning specialist and teacher leader at Reavis Elementary. He is the grade-level team lead for middle school and specializes in teaching students with disabilities. He has experience working as assistant case manager at his previous school. He spent two years teaching English to students in South Korea. Liljuan is a recipient of two AmeriCorp Education Awards (2017-2019) and a winner of a Chicago Teaching Grant (2020). Liljuan began his teaching career in Chicago as a 2017 Teach for America corps member and has taught various grades from elementary to high school. He earned his BA in psychology with a minor in dance and movement studies from Emory University and earned his MAT in special education from Relay University.
