JoMeka Gray is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow and a kindergarten teacher at Kennedy-Powell Elementary in Temple. She is a second-year Teach Plus Policy Fellow, a member of various district committees, and a member of the National Board Curriculum Relevance Committee (CRC) as a National Board Certified Teacher. JoMeka has more than 10 years’ experience as an early childhood educator of diverse schools to include high poverty, military families, PASS, bilingual, and STEM. She has campus, district, and state accolades to include Temple ISD Teacher of the Year and Master Teacher designation for the Teacher Incentive Allotment. JoMeka has a BA in general liberal arts from Louisiana Tech University.
