Amber Greenwood is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and is a school counselor for 3rd-5th graders at South Fayette Intermediate School in McDonald. She focuses on working with children to assist in their development of academic, career, and social and emotional awareness. Prior to transitioning to her role as a school counselor, Amber worked within the behavioral health field in various roles. Throughout her career as a school counselor, she has worked with children in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Amber is a member of the Allegheny County School Counselors Association and the American School Counselor Association. She earned her BS in Criminal Justice from Fairmont State College, and an MEd in School Counseling from the California University of Pennsylvania.
