Randall Guarnieri is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow and high school social studies teacher at Peñasco High School in Peñasco, New Mexico. He previously taught for 15 years in Rio Rancho Public Schools, where he developed U.S. and world history curricula and served as World History Professional Learning Community leader. He was named the German Embassy Teacher of Excellence (2018) and NMOLE Teacher of the Year (2018). He earned a BA in history and German studies and MA in German studies (both focusing on the history of Jews in Germany) from the University of New Mexico.
