Lucero Gutierrez is a 2025–2026 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow and multilingual interventionist at Uplift White Rock Hills in Dallas. She supports campus-wide literacy and language development for early elementary students and serves on the campus shared decision-making committee. Previously, Lucero worked as a dyslexia interventionist, assistant principal, and kindergarten lead teacher. She earned a Master designation through the Texas Incentive Allotment program (2018) and an Exemplary designation in the program’s five-year renewal cycle (2023). Having spent 10 years in early childhood education, Lucero is dedicated to advocating for student-centered policies that ensure all students receive high-quality education. She earned a BA in applied science from the University of North Texas and an MEd in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
