Carmen Guzman is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Chicago Change Agent. She teaches 1st grade at Louis Pasteur Elementary school. Carmen has represented teachers on the local school council committee, and has been a team lead teacher on the instructor-led training committee. She is endorsed in gifted education and teaches 1st grade comprehensive gifted students. She started with Chicago Public schools as a teacher’s aide at Farragut High School preschool program. She is the liaison for Ravinia’s Reach, Teach, and Play program helping to bring music to the students at Louis Pasteur. She graduated from Illinois State University with a BA in elementary education.
