Andrea Hamlin is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Belonging, Empowerment, and Mentorship Network Facilitator. She is a special education teacher at Propel Andrew Street High School in Pittsburgh, where she co-teaches algebra, biology, and chemistry. Andrea serves as an alternate Pennsylvania delegate to the Minority Affairs Committee of the Pennsylvania State Education Association. She previously taught in Pittsburgh Public Schools at the elementary and middle school levels and served as a K-5 math specialist, acting principal, assistant principal, and curriculum supervisor. Andrea earned a BS in elementary education with a special education certification from Duquesne University, MA in curriculum and instruction from Point Park University, and MA in K-12 administration from Point Park University.
