Gregory Hanson is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow, U.S. history teacher, and humanities department chair at John J. Duggan Academy in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is also an adjunct professor of sociology at American International College. Gregory serves as the humanities department chair and an instructional leadership team member. He previously served as a humanities instructional coach, Learning Team Leader with Teach For America, and Teacher Ranger with the National Park Service. Gregory is an Eagle Scout. He earned a BA in history from Western New England University and MEd from Springfield College.
