Emily Harris is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Arkansas & Mississippi Policy Fellow and a 4th grade inclusion teacher at Bentonia Gibbs Elementary in Bentonia, Mississippi. She serves as the Special Education Professional Learning Community leader and a mentor teacher. Emily previously served as an inclusion teacher for grades 2–5. She holds National Board Certification, was named Bentonia Gibbs Elementary Teacher of the Year (2025) and Yazoo County School District Teacher of the Year (2025), and serves on the State Superintendent Teacher Advisory Council. Emily earned a BS in human development and family studies from Mississippi State University and an MEd in curriculum and instruction: special education leadership from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
