Jennifer Harris is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow and an English/Language Arts teacher for grades 7-12 in De Beque, Colorado. She is the current sophomore class sponsor and helps with fundraising and dance committees. She has been part of the District Accountability Committee, the NJHS/NHS sponsor, and a reading intervention co-teacher. Jennifer was nominated for Teacher of the Year for 2025, the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award, and the 2024 Future Educator Honor Roll, CDHE.
She earned her BA in Elementary Education and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Colorado Mountain College in Rifle, Colorado. She earned her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, and she is currently working on her EdD in Educational Studies from the University of Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.
