Keisha Harris is a 2026 Teach Plus National Teacher Policy Cabinet Member and 7th-grade math teacher leader at Mansfield Middle School in Mansfield, Louisiana. She supports mathematics learning while also serving as the sponsor for the school’s Art Club.
In addition to her classroom role, Keisha has served as a Pioneer K–8 District Math Specialist and a Learning Acceleration Implementation Specialist, supporting curriculum development and instructional improvement across schools. She also served as an Educational Classroom Lead with Leadership Initiatives at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., supporting global student leadership and entrepreneurship programs, and contributed to statewide assessment development as a Texas Education Agency STAAR Item Review Panel Member. In 2024, Keisha was named Compass Rose Public Schools Network Team Member of the Year and was a nominee for the Elizabeth T. Wrenn Legacy Award in Primary and Secondary Education (2025–2026).
Keisha began her teaching career in 2013 as a Teach For America corps member in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has since supported student learning and teacher development in math, science, and English language arts across Pre-K through 8th grade. She is currently pursuing her National Board Certification in Mathematics – Early Adolescence.
She earned her BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
