Tremaine Harris is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Chicago Change Agent. Tremaine is a 6th-8th grade mathematics and 8th grade honors algebra 1 teacher at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academy of Social Justice. Tremaine received the Highest 6th Grade Math Growth: i-Ready. Becoming a Golden Apple Scholar, Tremaine developed leadership skills that later matured into becoming a grade band lead and now a content lead. Tremaine gained instructional strategies and classroom management pivots that help support not only in his classroom but other teachers in the school. He earned his BS in Middle Grades Education from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently working on completing his MA in educational leadership to support even more teacher leaders.
