Olivia Hart is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and a Deaf and Hard of Hearing itinerant teacher servicing students ages birth to 22 in San Bernardino City Unified School District in San Bernardino. She focuses on language development, supports classroom teachers regarding hearing loss, and spreads awareness about the Deaf community. Olivia placed in the top 10 of the California State University system-wide three-minute thesis competition, where she presented her dissertation research on bilingual hearing children of Deaf adults (CODAs). Olivia serves as the head coach of the aquatics program at San Gorgonio High School. She earned her AA in university studies from Chaffey College, her BS in communication disorders, and a speech and language pathology assistant license from California State University, Los Angeles. She received her Deaf and Hard of Hearing education specialist credential and a MEd in Deaf education from California Lutheran University. She is working on her EdD in educational leadership at California State University, San Bernardino.
