Olivia Hart is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Senior Policy Fellow. She is a Deaf and Hard of Hearing itinerant teacher and induction coach in the San Bernardino City Unified School District in San Bernardino, California. Olivia provides services to students from birth to 22, focusing on language development, addressing language deprivation, and empowering students to self-advocate. She presented her doctoral research at the National Association of Bilingual Education Conference (2021) and placed in the top 10 of the California State University systemwide thesis competition representing California State University, San Bernardino (2023). Olivia is head coach of aquatics programs at San Gorgonio High School and received Coach of the Year (2023-2024). She earned a BA in communication disorders from California State University, Los Angeles, Deaf and Hard of Hearing teaching credential and MS in deaf education from California Lutheran University, and Administrative Credential and EdD in educational leadership from California State University, San Bernardino.
