Heather Debby-Legan teaches reading, writing, and social studies at the Casals School of Excellence in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. Heather taught for three years at a private school on the East Coast before moving to Chicago and joining the Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) Teacher Residency program. She earned a BA in American Studies from the College of William and Mary, an MA in American Studies from the University of Heidelberg (Germany), and an MA in Teaching from National-Louis University.
