Heather Gauck is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Leading Edge Educator Fellow. She is a special education teacher and has taught for Grand Rapids Public Schools, Michigan, since 1994. A National Board Certified teacher, Heather is the project manager for Innovation Classroom, a professional development website that focuses on integrating technology into the classroom. Heather was chosen as one of PBS’ Digital All-Stars and was a finalist for the United States Department of Education Classroom Teacher Ambassador Fellowship. An alumna of the Teach Plus Michigan Collaborative Heather is an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University where she teaches the graduate course Technology and Professional Practices. She earned a BS in Specific Learning Disabilities from Franciscan University and an MEd in Learning Disabilities from Grand Valley State University.
