Josh Heideman is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and 5th grade reading, writing, and social studies teacher at Fall Creek Intermediate in Fishers, Indiana. He coaches track and field and basketball, and supports student clubs like FCI Connect. Josh was his school’s Equity Coach, implementing Equity and Inclusion School Improvement Plans. Josh has been listed on Hamilton Southeastern Education’s Teacher Honor Roll (2019-2024) and has been nominated by families through Recognition of Appreciation and Value in Education reviews for exceptional teaching. He was awarded “Outstanding Social Studies Instruction” in Muncie Community Schools (2018). Josh began his teaching career as a Ball State University practicum student with Muncie Community Schools before completing his student teaching in Texas. He later interned for Filter of Hope to help address the global water crisis. Josh earned a BA in elementary education with a concentration in counseling and psychology from Ball State University.
