Candace Henderson is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and is a kindergarten teacher leader at Penn Hills Elementary in Pittsburgh. She focuses on teaching children in the areas of all subjects in order to grow independence and confidence in their academic journey. She began her teaching career in Pittsburgh as a SMART Moves coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club and has taught Headstart, PreK-Counts and 1st grade. She earned her BA in PreK-4 Early Childhood Education as well as MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with an autism certificate at Carlow University.
