Alyssa Henneman is a 2023-2024 Michigan Teacher Leadership Collaborative Member and a K-3 special education teacher at Centreville Elementary School in Centreville, Michigan. She uses data to determine student strengths and needs, develops an individualized education plan based on these needs, and coordinates services for these students. Previously, Alyssa taught special education in a resource room in Indiana and a self-contained classroom for students with autism in Michigan. Alyssa earned her BA in elementary education with mild intervention from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, her MA in special education with a focus in autism from Western Michigan University, and is pursuing her doctorate in special education administration from Western Michigan University.
