Nestor Henrriquez is a 2026–2027 Teach Plus California Alumni Advisory Board Member. He serves as the state and federal coordinator at the Merced County Office of Education in Merced, California, and as an adjunct instructor and teacher credential program advisor. Nestor previously served as an English Language Development (ELD) teacher, ELD department head, and English language arts/ELD coordinator. He serves on the California Association for Bilingual Education Board of Directors, the California Newcomer Network Advisory Committee, and the Californians Together English Learner Leadership and Legacy Initiative Network. Nestor earned his BA in psychology and sociology from the University of California, Merced; teaching credential, administrative credential, and MA in school administration from California State University, Stanislaus; and MEd in digital learning and literacy from the University of San Diego.
