Jonathan Herward, aka Jon Bindley, is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Leading Edge Educator Fellow. He is a founding staff member and Technology Integrationist at Environmental Charter High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he designs and teaches its 9th-grade Global Citizenship course. Previously, Jon worked for SLB Radio Productions, Inc., a non-profit that amplifies community voice, facilitating workshops and producing radio content across Western Pennsylvania. He is an advisory board member of the International Poetry Forum and a 50 Finest Nominee class of 2025 for his fundraising efforts supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Jon has a BA in English and corporate communication from Duquesne University. A popular local performer and recording artist, he performs and produces live music events throughout the region with his band Bindley Hardware Co.
