Jesus Hidalgo is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and 9-12 grade English as a Second Language (ESL) educator at Englewood STEM High School in Chicago. He previously served as the Co-Founder and Manager of the Florecer Program, a violence-prevention organization, and worked as a middle school math tutor at Nicholson STEM Academy. Jesus is a Golden Apple Scholarship Grantee (2022-2024). He earned a BA in English education with a minor in public policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also completed an ESL/bilingual teaching endorsement at National Louis University.
