Elliott Hile is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a high school music teacher at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa. Elliott has previously served as a member of the school equity committee and continues to strive to develop equitable experiences for his students and within the school community. He was nominated for the District 117 Superintendent James McKay Leadership Award (2019) and named the Northern Illinois Suburbs Regional Teacher of the Year (2022) and the Illinois State Teacher of the Year Finalist (2022). Elliott is a member of the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and National Education Association (NEA). He earned his BME in music education and is currently pursuing a MEd in music education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
