Eric Hitchner is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and a 12th grade literature teacher, capstone coordinator, and dual-enrollment instructor at Building 21 High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also the founder and facilitator of the Building 21 Library. Eric has also participated in the Outward Bound Educators’ Initiative, taught creative writing, hosted student teachers, and led as a PLC facilitator. He is the Building 21 Teacher Cornerstone Award Winner and a Philadelphia Learning Collaborative alum. He earned his BA in English and his MEd with a concentration in English both from Arcadia University.
