Ben Hodge is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Senior Policy Fellow. He is a performing arts teacher for grades 9-12, Artistic Director for Central York Performing Arts (CYPA), Union Building Representative, and the founder and co-advisor of the Panther Anti-Racist Union at Central York High School in York, Pennsylvania. Ben focuses on teaching courageous communication, acting skills, improvisation, storytelling, and poetry. Ben was a Teach Plus Policy Fellow (2022-2023) and worked with the Culturally Responsive Schools workgroup. Ben’s group, Panther Anti-Racist Union (PARU), was given the Beloved Community Youth Influence Award by Dr. Bernice King in (2023) and was the recipient of Pennsylvania State Education Association’s (PSEA) Human and Civil Rights Award (2023). He earned his BA in English secondary education from Messiah University in 2002 and a MEd in teaching and curriculum from Pennsylvania State University in 2009.
