Ben Hodge

Ben Hodge is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Senior Policy Fellow. Ben is a Performing Arts teacher for grades 9-12, artistic director for Central York Performing Arts, and union building representative at Central York HS in York, Pennsylvania. He focuses on teaching courageous communication, acting skills, improvisation, story-telling, and poetry. As a Teach Plus Policy Fellow, Ben was a member of the Culturally Responsive Schools working group. He is the founder and co-adviser of the Panther Anti-Racist Union, which was given the Beloved Community Youth Influence Award by Dr. Bernice King and was the recipient of Pennsylvania State Educators Association’s Human and Civil Rights Award. He earned his BA in English secondary education from Messiah University and an MEd in teaching and curriculum from Penn State University.
