Jon Hokenmaier is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Chicago Change Agent. He teaches social studies at North Lawndale College Prep High School. Jon has been a high school educator for the past 19 years, spending 16 years teaching in Baltimore City and the last three on the west side of Chicago. Jon is the department lead for social studies at North Lawndale College Prep and a member of the instructional leadership team. During his time as an educator, Jon has been dedicated to urban education and has been committed to closing the achievement gap. Jon received his BA in secondary education and history at Grand Valley State University and his MEd at Towson State University.
