Jaycie Homer

Jaycie Homer is a 2024-2026 Teach Plus New Mexico Advocacy Fellow and 6th grade teacher leader, department head, and technology mentor at Sixth Grade Academy in Lovington, New Mexico. She teaches career and technical education (CTE), media literacy, and digital citizenship. Jaycie is CTE department head, and member of the Wildcat Wellness and Sixth Grade Academy’s Safety and Multi-Layered System of Supports (MLSS) teams. She was nominated for Secondary Teacher of the Year (2022), and was a Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow (2021-2022) and Teach Plus Alumni Policy Fellow (2023-2024). Jaycie serves as her school’s student council representative, yearbook coordinator, and technology mentor. She has a BS from University of the Southwest, and MEd from Eastern New Mexico University. Jaycie holds a Level Three-A Instructional Leader 6-12 secondary license with endorsements in technology education, information tech coordinator, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and language arts, and a Level Three-B Pre-K-12 administrative license.
