Jaycie Homer

Jaycie Homer is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Leading Edge Educator Fellow. She is a 6th grade teacher leader, CTE department head, and technology mentor at Sixth Grade Academy in Lovington, New Mexico. Jaycie is a member of the district Wildcat Wellness and AI Policy development team, and member of the Sixth Grade Academy’s Safety and Multi-Layered System of Supports (MLSS) teams. Jaycie serves as her school’s student council representative, yearbook coordinator, technology mentor, and writes the school newsletter. She is an alumna of the Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellowship and Alumni Policy Fellowship, and is a 2024-2026 Teach Plus New Mexico Advocacy Fellow. Jaycie holds a BS in science from University of the Southwest, and MEd in education from Eastern New Mexico University. Formerly a journalist, Jaycie’s articles have been published in the Hobbs News-Sun.
