Lindsey Horowitz is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and an education specialist working with students in a specific learning disabilities special day program in Carson, California. She teaches English and History to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. She is a mentor for the Teacher Induction program in her district, supporting educators as they clear their teaching credential, and hosts the Anime club at her school. She transitioned into education after eight years managing civic engagement and education programs for Los Angeles area non-profit organizations. She earned her BA from UC San Diego and her preliminary teaching credential and MEd in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University.
