Treasa Howard-Collins is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow who works as a childcare center aide at Joliet Township High Schools Infant Childcare Center. She focuses on providing high-quality childcare to teen parents while helping them make positive parenting decisions. Treasa has previously served as lead classroom teacher, assistant center director/parent educator, and center director. She holds a seat on the Plainfield Consolidated School District 202 Board of Education and received the One Hope United Turn Hope Into Action Value award in 2021. She has earned a BS in animal science from Florida A&M University, an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, a Certificate of Completion in Child Development from Joliet Junior College, and Gateways to Opportunities ECE, Infant Toddler, Family Specialist and Illinois Director Credentials.
